I don’t suppose many of you wander over to the old IB nowadays so will not have seen the ‘final goodbye‘ from Carol.

The BBC won’t be accepting any further ‘contributions’ after 12th February and I assume that means comments as well as posts so if anyone wants to say a farewell to Carol (for t’was not she who shut it down) then it looks like you only have a few days to do so.

  1. Great minds, think alike!!! I still go to the former IB site after reading the scottish news, thanks to the Beeb website,I just sent a reply, before coming to IB,

  2. Just been over for old times sake. IB BBC was the only thing that kept me sane.
Now made a NY resolution to keep an eye on IB NEW more often.
We’re going back to Orkney later in the year for our first visit since we left three years ago. It will be a strange feeling getting on the North Isles ferry after so long.
I’ll try to recruit more for your boards here when I’m there. Sorry I’ve not been about more often. xx

What’s this ‘After reading the Scottish news’ - you’re not Sally Magnusson by any chance? I feel we should be told…

  4. sally magnusson???who is she???? Everyday I click on to the BBC and read all the news from scotland and then nip over to IB (don’t know why-there is nothing new)

I’ve said my goodbyes! I won’t forget that it was BBC IB that started me off on this blogging lark, and I am extremely grateful.
